Their outdoor Lido deck overlooks the gorgeous waters of Naples Bay, allowing guests to watch the boats drift by or catch sight of a dolphin making a splash. The Gangway Lounge features a full-service bar, and if you come between 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm. you're bound to find a happy hour favorite. It's a historic landmark, with a history of many names behind it. In 1964, the Island Hut overhanging Naples Bay opened. The restaurant, specializing in Polynesian food was sold to a group of investors and became Pate's Marker IV. In 1969, this restaurant began massive renovations and welcomed nautical décor. In 1984, the restaurant was sold to the national franchise the Chart House. In 1999 it was bought by the Sarajian family, who renamed it "The Boathouse on Naples Bay".
The business is award winning and long standing, a local and critical favorite that has served four generations worth of locals in some families. Perhaps it's the fact that you can walk, drive or even sail to get there. Located on the Channel Marker 4 in Naples Bay, the restaurant has a 500ft of dock fingers to accommodate restaurant goers' boats. So, stop by! The Boathouse on Naples Bay is a locally owned restaurant for over 25 years with breathtaking waterfront views.
On June 4th 1964, The Island Hut opens overhanging Naples Bay specializing in Polynesian food. In 1965 The island hut is sold to a group of 10 out of town investors and becomes Pate’s Marker IV, which is also the Channel Marker number on Naples Bay. In 1969 the restaurant begins massive renovations including the building being elevated on the land side, floor to ceiling windows, and decked out in nautical decor.
In 1984 Pates Marker IV is sold to the national franchise The Chart House.
In 1999 the Chart House is bought by Ron Sarajian and renamed The Boathouse, where the term “Dock and Dine” is adopted.
The Boathouse on Naples Bay continues to be a time honored classic in Naples, and will be for many years to come. Renovations and improvements are constantly being done to this historic landmark, while keeping the integrity and history of the land, building, and ambiance. The Boathouse restaurant is and will be a family owned and run business for many years to come.
